This post includes a set of FREE flower stamp brushes!

Have you ever struggled to draw a perfect 7 petal flower?
Are you stuck drawing the same flower over and over?
Do you ever find it tricky to space out your petals evenly?
If the answer is YES to any of these questions I have the perfect solution for you!
It was actually a solution I created for myself a while ago when I was having these exact same struggles and now I am always using it to help me draw flowers.
The solution is of course, flower stamp brushes.
I made myself a set in Procreate and now each time I'd like to add a flower to a pattern, I use them as a template so I can effortlessly draw my flower over the top.
Let me show you what I mean...
How do the flower stamps work?
You can see in the image below I am designing a simple floral pattern with a flowing stem and branches.
I can use one of the stamp brushes - the 6 petal stamp in this case - on a new layer and over the top I can ink the flower, knowing exactly where the petals are going to be placed.
Once you've stamped the flower, the image can be made bigger or smaller and rotated so it is exactly where you'd like it before you start the flower illustration on the top. Then you can delete the stamp leaving a perfectly formed flower!

Is there room for my own artistic style if I use these flower stamps?
Yes of course! The flower stamps are only meant to be a very basic template.
You can design in your own style over the top.
You might design with totally different petal shapes and lengths. But having the template there means the spacing will always be spot on, whatever type of flower or petals you design.
Take a look below at how I have built up this flower by using the 5 petal flower stamp to help me.
The final flower doesn't need to follow the shape of the stamp exactly, the stamp is there as a guide to help with spacing.
Can I use these flower stamps with a pattern template?
I am so glad you asked - yes you can!!
These flower stamps are PERFECT to use with a template and will help you get your flower shapes spot on before you start inking your final design.
Here's an example below of how I have used the 6 petal stamp in my free floral template. (You can see the flower stamp in red over the top of the template) Then I can simply draw the flowers over the top on a new layer.
If you already have my full pack of 20 templates these flower stamps will work wonders for adding in the main floral motifs or for the smaller filler motifs in some of the ditsy prints.
I hope you have fun with these flower stamps, they really are a design staple for me!
